Description

You are a small bee in a wrap-around meadow. The wind is always nudging you east; gusts come and go in cream-and-pink petals. Three flowers grow here at first — daisies, bluebells, and poppies — and that's the entire palette you have to work with.

Land on a flower with no pollen and you'll pick some up. Land on a different flower while carrying pollen and you'll cross-breed it: a brand-new hybrid sprouts beside it.

There is no fail state, no timer, no enemies. Wilting flowers fade if no-one visits them, but pollinating a wilting flower brings it back. The base species top themselves up so the meadow never stalls.

Your journal in the corner tracks every species you find. Hover an undiscovered hybrid and — if you've found both its parents — the journal will glow around the two flowers you need to cross. Find all twelve and spring has truly sprung.

Made with Godot 4.6 using the Wisteric-17 colour palette.

Features

  • Wrap-around toroidal meadow — fly east long enough and the world drifts forward; top and bottom wrap too.
  • Twelve flower species — three base, nine hybrids, and a deterministic recipe for every distinct cross.
  • Wind & gusts — a constant gentle drift plus periodic stronger gusts, visualised by drifting petals; aligning with the gust gives you a speed boost.
  • Living meadow — flowers age, wilt, and die over cycles; pollinating a wilting flower revives it.
  • Flower journal with parent-recipe hints — undiscovered hybrids glow their two parents on hover.
  • Three bee variants — pink, cream, mauve — pick yours on the customise screen.
  • Layered ambient audio — wind, soft buzz, birds, water, and a written 16-bar spring melody fade in over time.
  • Wisteric-17 palette across every pixel — sprites, particles, UI, and even the daylight tint.
  • No fail state — designed as a comfy, drift-and-discover experience.

How to play:

  1. Drift around the meadow — the wind pushes you east, ride a gust to cover ground faster.
  2. When you slow down near a flower the bee glides down to land. With no pollen, you pick some up.
  3. Carry the pollen to a different flower and land — you'll cross-pollinate it and a new flower sprouts beside it.
  4. Each new species fills in your journal. Hover an unknown one to see which two parents you need (if you've already found them).
  5. Find all twelve species and spring has sprung!
